So I thought I came away unscathed from the rocks... I was staying away from them until Terry (TKH) put some more skid protection under my jeep. Well it looked like lots of fun and the guys were saying come one it's not so bad. Then I remember someone saying your rolling a pretty big rock around under there. After the event, I notice that my air locker mount had been bashed and beaten pretty bad, but it still worked. Then yesterday I my jeep developed this condition called "angry sparrows" aptly named because that is what it sounds like (100 angry sparrows under your jeep). Stu's Off Road has a good write up on it. http://stu-offroad.com/axle/driveshaft/driveshaft-5.htm Usually it means that your centering ball in the double cardan joint has gone bad. It is a really noisy high pitched squeaking, kind of plastic sounding, or finger on a chalk board. A friend told me that I should try some WD-40 on the ball joints to see if maybe it was just the seals. Well it appears that is all it was, time will tell. Anyhow to get to my point, As I was crawling around under my jeep (don't you just love the way you can get under the entire jeep without the aid of a jack, just another reason to love a jeep) I noticed my bell housing, another casualty of Jeep Jam. If I had only waited for the skid protection. Oh well, it still runs...
